the skin changes throughout the menstrual cycle... but skincare routines remain the same.
After studying biomedical sciences and cosmetic sciences, I began to take a closer interest in the link between hormones and skin. But it was especially when I stopped taking the contraceptive pill and my acne returned that the subject became very concrete for me. Many women around me were experiencing the same thing.
Diving into the scientific literature, we find that hormones directly influence the skin — sebum, hydration, inflammation, sensitivity. Yet, most products are designed as if the skin remains the same throughout the month.

The formulas are developed and produced in Belgium with Les Ateliers du Saupont, a laboratory specialised in cosmetics and a Social Enterprise (ETA). This partnership combines scientific rigor and social impact, supporting inclusive employment while ensuring compliance with European cosmetic regulations.
The brand is supported by Start.LAB Brussels and GEL Dansaert, who assist in its strategic and entrepreneurial development.
Dermatologists also contribute to anchoring Chouke in a rigorous scientific approach, linked to the hormonal realities of the skin.
